Early August 2025 delivers one of the most requested scheduling features — Appointment by Room. Alongside this, package-based clinics get improved revenue reporting and practitioners get notified the moment a patient is ready in their room.
New Feature: Schedule by Room, Not Just by Practitioner
MedicalMet's appointment calendar now supports two viewing modes. The existing Practitioner view shows the day organised by who is working. The new Room view shows it organised by physical space — which rooms are occupied, which are free, and where the gaps are.
A physiotherapy centre in Kuala Lumpur with specialised equipment rooms told us the Room view changed how they plan their day — they can now see at a glance whether the ultrasound room or the rehab gym is available, without cross-referencing multiple practitioner schedules. Dental clinics with limited treatment chairs and aesthetic centres with procedure-specific rooms are seeing similar benefits.
Clearer Revenue Reporting for Package-Based Clinics
Clinics that sell treatment packages need to track deferred revenue (collected upfront) separately from realised revenue (recognised when sessions are delivered). The Deferred & Realised Revenue Report now offers improved filtering and more accurate tracking — giving clinic owners and accountants a clearer picture of actual revenue earned versus deposits held.
Practitioner Room Notifications
Practitioners now receive a sound and visual notification when a patient is assigned to their treatment room. In busy clinics where doctors move between rooms or focus on documentation between patients, this keeps the flow moving without the front desk needing to physically find each practitioner.
Quality Improvements
This update also includes improvements to sales reporting time frame options, invoice display accuracy, referral privacy settings, and the outstanding invoices filter. These refinements keep your clinic's financial and administrative workflows running smoothly.
“Every clinic is different. Some schedule by practitioner, others by room. Now you have both views — choose the one that matches how your clinic actually operates.”
