July 2025 was one of the biggest update months for MedicalMet — packed with a timezone feature for international clinics, a visual overhaul of four core screens, new patient privacy controls, and sound-based queue alerts that keep practitioners informed without checking a screen. Timezone Support for Multi-Country Clinics

MedicalMet is now fully timezone-aware. Clinic groups with branches across Southeast Asia — Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore — can configure each location's timezone so that appointments, reminders, and reports all display the correct local time. One chiropractic group with branches in both KL and Bangkok told us this eliminated the scheduling confusion their front desk teams had been working around for months.

The MedicalMet mobile app also received a corresponding update — dates and times now display based on your device's local timezone, so practitioners checking schedules on the go always see accurate times.

Refreshed Design Across Four Core Screens

Four of the most-used screens in MedicalMet received a visual refresh this month — patient registration, the queue display sharing page, the treatment note form, and the patient-facing online booking widget. These are not just cosmetic changes — each redesign focused on reducing clicks and improving information density so your team spends less time navigating and more time with patients.

Early feedback from clinics has been positive. A dental clinic in Penang reported that their front desk completes patient registrations noticeably faster with the new form layout, and several clinics noted the online booking widget feels more professional to their patients.

Patient Privacy Controls for Sensitive Records

Clinics can now flag specific patient records as private, restricting access to authorised staff only. This is useful for VIP patients, staff members who are also patients at the same clinic, or any scenario where a patient's records should only be visible to specific practitioners. The restriction applies across all modules — from patient profiles to appointments, treatment notes, and invoices.

Queue Sound Alerts and Room Notifications

The queue display now plays an audio alert when a patient's number is called — making it easier for patients in the waiting area to know when it is their turn. Practitioners also receive sound notifications when a patient is assigned to their treatment room, so they know someone is ready without constantly checking the screen. Busy clinics seeing 100+ patients a day have found this keeps the flow moving without the front desk needing to physically fetch each practitioner.

Other Improvements

This month also includes support for preferred first names alongside legal names, customisable daily queue number reset timing, timezone-correct appointment confirmation emails, and various improvements to appointment calendar usability. As always, these updates are deployed automatically — no downloads or IT support needed.
