MedicalMet ships product improvements every week — not quarterly, not annually, but every single week. For the week of 16 March 2026, we are rolling out new compliance reports, expanded multilingual support across four languages, significant appointment performance upgrades, and a bulk pricing tool that saves panel clinics hours of manual data entry.
What's New in Reports: History of Buyer and Poison Book
Two new reports are now available in your Reports module. The History of Buyer report gives your clinic a complete view of each buyer's purchasing history — including products purchased, dates, quantities, and total spend over any time period. This is particularly useful for clinics that sell retail health products, supplements, or skincare alongside clinical services.
The Poison Book report is a compliance-focused addition designed specifically for Malaysian clinics. Under the Poisons Act 1952, any clinic dispensing Group B or Group C scheduled poisons is required to maintain a poison register. MedicalMet now auto-generates this register directly from your dispensing records — no separate spreadsheet, no manual entries. Every dispensed poison is logged with patient details, batch information, quantity, and date, ready for inspection at any time.
How Does the Poison Book Report Help with Compliance?
Previously, many clinics maintained their poison register manually — a time-consuming process prone to missed entries and transcription errors. When a pharmacy inspector visits, gathering the right records under pressure can take hours and still leave gaps.
With MedicalMet's automated Poison Book report, every scheduled poison dispensed through the system is captured instantly. The report is always up to date, always accurate, and always ready to export. Your team no longer needs to worry about falling behind on documentation or scrambling before an audit. Clinics across Malaysia that dispense medication in-house — GP practices, aesthetic centres, and dental clinics — will find this especially valuable.
Auto-Generated from Dispensing Data
The Poison Book report pulls directly from your existing dispensing workflow. No extra steps, no duplicate data entry — just dispense as normal and the register stays current.
Faster Appointments — What Changed Under the Hood?
Speed matters when your reception counter has a queue of patients waiting. This week, we delivered three targeted performance improvements to the appointment scheduling module:
- Reduced frontend payload — the appointment list now loads only the data it needs, cutting the amount of data transferred to your browser significantly
- Batch-loaded sub-patient information — instead of fetching patient details one at a time, the system now retrieves them in a single batch request
- Optimized database indexing for appointments — search and filter operations are now faster at the database level
The result is noticeably faster appointment loading across the board. Clinics with high daily patient volumes — whether you see 50, 100, or 200+ appointments per day — will feel the biggest improvement. These are the kind of backend optimizations that make your daily workflow smoother without requiring any action on your part.
Smarter Search Across Invoices, Payments and Communications
We also optimized the search queries powering the invoice list, payment list, and communication list. Looking up a specific invoice or tracking down a payment is now faster, especially for clinics with large transaction histories spanning months or years. These behind-the-scenes improvements save your staff seconds on every lookup — and across a busy 8-hour shift, those seconds add up to meaningful time saved.
Expanded Multilingual Support — 4 Languages Added
MedicalMet now supports four additional languages across the entire interface:
- Chinese (中文) — full interface translation
- Vietnamese (Tiếng Việt) — full interface translation
- Malay (Bahasa Melayu) — full interface translation
- Thai (ภาษาไทย) — enhanced and expanded translations
This update reflects MedicalMet's commitment to serving clinics across Southeast Asia in their preferred language. Whether your team operates in Kuala Lumpur, Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok, or Singapore, the system now feels local. Language settings can be configured per user — so a multilingual clinic can have each staff member work in the language they are most comfortable with, while the system data remains consistent.
Bulk Update for Panel Pricing — One Click, All Panels
Clinics that work with multiple insurance panels know the pain of updating prices product by product, panel by panel. It is tedious, repetitive, and error-prone — especially when you manage dozens of products across several insurance panels.
This week, we added an Apply All function to panel pricing. Set the price for one product, click Apply All, and that same price is applied across every panel for that product. You can then fine-tune specific panels that require a different rate. What used to be a multi-hour data entry task now takes a few minutes.
Tip: Use Apply All as Your Starting Point
Set your most common panel price first, click Apply All, then override only the panels that need a different rate. This is the fastest workflow for keeping panel pricing up to date.
Other Improvements and Bug Fixes
Every weekly update also includes refinements and stability fixes that keep your workflows running smoothly. This week's release includes various optimizations and bug fixes across the system — small improvements that add up to a more polished, reliable experience for your clinic.
“We ship improvements every week because your clinic never stops evolving. Our goal is simple: every Monday, your MedicalMet is a little better than it was the week before.”
— MedicalMet Team
Why Do Weekly Updates Matter for Your Clinic?
Many software providers release updates once a quarter — or worse, once a year. That means bugs linger, feature requests sit in backlogs, and your clinic adapts to the software rather than the other way around. MedicalMet takes a different approach. We ship every week because we believe your clinic management software should evolve as fast as your practice does.
Every update is deployed automatically — no manual downloads, no IT support needed, no downtime. When you log in on Monday morning, the latest improvements are already live. That is our commitment to the 3,000+ healthcare professionals who trust MedicalMet across Southeast Asia.
