The November and December 2025 updates close out the year with improvements to treatment notes, clinic customisation, and reporting — areas that practitioners and clinic managers interact with every day.
Save Treatment Notes as Draft
Practitioners can now save an incomplete treatment note as a draft and return to it later. Real consultations do not always follow a neat start-to-finish pattern — a patient might step out for an X-ray, or an emergency might pull the doctor to another room. With draft saving, work is never lost.
One chiropractor told us this was the feature their team had been waiting for most. During busy hours, they often start notes between patients and finish them during quieter moments — draft saving makes that workflow seamless.
AI Treatment Notes — Now More Flexible
The AI-powered treatment note features are now accessible without selecting an appointment first. This means practitioners can use AI assistance for walk-in patients, phone consultations, or follow-up notes — any situation where a formal appointment slot does not exist.
Better IC Scanner Support for Malaysian Names
IC scanners are a fast way to register patients, but Malaysian names have unique formats — names with "BINTI" (daughter of), "BIN" (son of), and names with four or more words. MedicalMet now handles all these formats correctly when reading from an IC scanner, so your front desk no longer needs to manually correct name fields after every scan.
For clinics that rely on IC scanning for high-volume patient registration, this eliminates a common source of frustration and keeps the queue moving.
Smarter Reports for Commission and Recalls
Two reports received useful additions:
- Commission Report — now includes a remark field for noting adjustments, split commissions, or special arrangements
- Recall Report — now shows the patient's phone number and next scheduled appointment directly in the list, so your team can make follow-up calls without looking up each patient separately
Quality Improvements
This update also includes keyboard shortcuts for faster calendar navigation, a cleaner treatment note list interface, improved insurance panel pricing performance for large datasets, and smoother appointment rescheduling. These refinements round out a strong year of continuous improvement.
“A consultation is not always a straight line from start to finish. Draft saving means your notes survive interruptions — because real clinic life is full of them.”
