January 2025 kicked off with a wave of refinements to MedicalMet — particularly around LHDN e-invoicing, data exports, and patient registration. Following the initial launch of e-invoice support, this month focused on polishing the experience based on real-world feedback from clinics already submitting invoices through MyInvois.
e-Invoice Compliance Made Easier
Since e-invoicing went live, hundreds of clinics across Malaysia have been submitting invoices to LHDN through MedicalMet. Based on their feedback, we shipped a series of refinements that reduce rejection rates and make the compliance workflow smoother for clinic admin teams.
Clinics can now verify patient tax information directly from the patient profile, see LHDN approval status at a glance in the invoice list, and generate PDFs that include all the supplier details LHDN requires — without any manual entry. One clinic administrator told us these changes cut their monthly e-invoice preparation time in half.
Go at Your Own Pace
For clinics still preparing for e-invoice submission, a toggle in Settings lets you continue using MedicalMet's invoicing without triggering MyInvois submissions until you are ready.
Stronger Invoice Safeguards
We tightened invoice validation to prevent common data entry mistakes before they reach LHDN. Refunds and adjustments now follow a proper credit note workflow through the invoicing module, ensuring your financial records stay clean and audit-ready.
Faster, More Reliable Data Exports
Clinics with years of patient data need reliable exports — for backups, audits, or migration. This month, we optimised the export engine for significantly larger datasets. One GP clinic with over 15,000 patient records told us their full export now completes seamlessly, saving their admin team hours of manual workarounds each quarter.
IC Number Auto-Formatting at Registration
Front desk staff type IC numbers in all sorts of formats — with dashes, without dashes, with spaces. MedicalMet now auto-formats IC numbers as they are typed during patient registration, ensuring consistency across your database without slowing down your team. It is a small change that clinics processing dozens of registrations daily have told us makes a noticeable difference.
Stability and Reliability Improvements
This month also includes improvements to loyalty points accuracy, WhatsApp reminder delivery reliability, and overall system stability. These are the kinds of behind-the-scenes refinements that keep your daily workflows running smoothly.
“e-Invoicing is a major shift for Malaysian clinics, and getting the details right matters. These refinements add up to a system your team can trust for compliance — so you can focus on patients, not paperwork.”

Why Continuous Updates Matter
LHDN e-invoicing requirements continue to evolve, and clinics need software that keeps pace. Rather than waiting for a quarterly release, MedicalMet ships improvements as soon as they are ready — so your clinic stays compliant without falling behind on regulatory changes.
